 I garden.  I garden on my back deck in containers because I can't walk because my hips need replacing so until that happens, I'm restricted to the deck. I also have limited budget. I have always wanted a large clock.  In our kitchen/dining area there is NO clock.  I keep looking up at the blank wall to see the time, though I have been living here for three years. Well, now I have a wonderful 18" clock to hang on my wall.
 
This Infinity clock can be used inside and outside.  It has a temperature and humidity dial. The letters are large gothic with a minute and hour hand. The case back is steel and the face front is plastic.  It runs on one AA battery.

I kept dreaming about decorating the wall of my bedroom with some of those wonderful quips and cuts of trees, birds etc, BUT it stunned me when I looked at the prices. YIKES. So like most other things that I simply can't afford, I thought, I will make it myself.
Angel Craft sells the exact adhesive vinyl I was looking for.  It is high quality, with long lasting adhesive and so many colors! It comes in packs of 35. My pack came in 12 x 12, but it also comes in 6 x 12.  I prefer the 12 x 12 for my Silhouette  Portrait because I can cut it to the size I prefer. I looked at other adhesive vinyls only to be shocked at the prices, even for diy. Colors were also very limited.  Angel Craft has so many colors!
Sooooo, I started my adventure of designing my own wall design.  My room is basically cream  and burgandy with splashes of pink(s) and variations of burgandy. My burgandy comforter has designs of cherry blossoms on it, and since it is the center of the room, I decided to continue with that theme.
I have a Silhouette Portrait cutter and found a Silhouette design of a branch of cherry blossoms. I used one of my bird patterns and altered its shape from halloween raven to cute little sparrow and cute the branch and birds out of burgandy, the flowers of varied colors of pink, bright pink and white. I got it all cut and ready to mount on my wall which I hope to do tonight and then load on the Tomoson site and You Tube, and maybe here as well.

I have always been amazed at the figures that glass handlers could make with their long heated pipes that artisans use to make all sorts of figures. Sometimes you see them at art fairs or state fairs.  Sometimes they are glassblowers, other times they just know how to work the glass.  Well, recently, I received a set of three elephants made out of glass.


They are very delicately made and fragile, meaning you must be careful not to drop them or clink them together....after all they are glass!!!  They are so lovely. They catch the light and twinkle. They come with a mirror which intensifies the sparkle.  There are three sizes of  elephant (large, medium, small).

The religions/energies explored are: Judaism (the energy of  action and abstraction), Christianity(energy of abstract love) Islam (material emotional energy), Hinduism (the creative energy), Taoism (energy of surrender to nature, doing nothing), Buddhism (void energy), Zen (surrender to the here and now), Zoroastrianism (polarization, separation energy) mysticism (energy of sex, devotion and symbolism), science, technology (energy of material,doubt) and secularism (energy of society and the individual).


Koplis leads us through the history, philosophies, beliefs and energy that each and leads us to her enlightenment of developing an individual religion.  Individual religion is a selection of this and that from the various energies to develop one's own, individual belief system or system of energies


The remainder of the book reveals how Koplis developed her own individual religion, the elements she examined and on what basis she made her decisions.


I like Koplis' thoughts and ideas and the way she expressed them in print.  I do not claim in any way to have done the indepth research and thought which Koplis has, but at a time or two, I have often thought about my spiritual faith and through my 50 years have taken the elements I can accept from my Catholic upbringing, updated by the Jesuits and begun leaning toward Buddhist beliefs and practices.  It was affirming to read that someone else has done something similar, but alerted my conscience that I had not been as complete in my choosing as Koplis.  With the information in her book, I feel that I am about to embark on a deeper spiritual journey.
